Candied Jalapeno in Syrup
A spicy treat that's perfect for making drinks. Or adding a spot of sweet heat in grilled cheese and salads.
- 1 Large Jalapeno Sliced
- 1/2 tsp Celery Seed
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
Boil the apple cider vinegar, celery seed and sugar on low heat until the sugar dissolves
Add the jalapeno slices into the syrup and cook for 5 minutes.
Retrieve the jalapeno slices and put them into a clean jar.
Reduce the syrup by a third. Pour hot syrup over the jalapeno slices carefully. Cover and let it cool down.
